Lone Rook Mate
This is an elementary mate and should be a natural sequence of moves.
- Use your Rook and King to force the opposing King to an edge row. To do this, think of your King as having a 3-square bulldozer and your Rook as a moving wall.
- Post your Rook on the next row.
- With your King on the third row, chase the opposing king until his move will put him in direct opposition (straight accross) with your king.
- When he moves in front of your King, mate with your Rook.
